We are so pleased to welcome Lorelei Confer back to the blog. Lorelei has a lot going on and she is here to tell us about her upcoming release The Cowboy and his Sweet Spot and all the fun things she has going on. So without further ado, we’ll hand it over to Lorelei. Welcome back and take it away Lorelei.
Hi everyone: I hope you’re doing well, have learned great patience and coping skills.
I’ve been working, writing, editing, writing, and editing, etc. Hence, I have four new releases this year.
I write every day and work on jigsaw puzzles to switch from writing to relaxed and sleeping through the night. We’ve had such nice weather here in Florida the last couple of weeks, I’ve enjoyed hiking in a nearby park along Tampa Bay. It’s all good.
1. The Cowboy and his Sweet Spot … March 16th is the release date for The Cowboy and his Sweet Spot and I’m celebrating with a Facebook Book Release party https://www.facebook.com/groups/293120771696171
It’s the 8th book in the Saddle Creek series and includes other characters from other books in the series. It’s currently on preorder at $.99 and the price increases to $2.99 on April 1.
About The Cowboy and his Sweet Spot:
Janelle Franklin arrives in Saddle Creek, WY for a relaxing visit with her childhood friend and new mother. She also wants to fine-tune a secret passion, baking. But when she meets ranch manager, Carter Weaver, passion takes on a whole new meaning.
Carter excels at horse breeding but has a dark past that haunts him. When he meets Janelle, a woman who gets his attention, sparks fly. But his past thwarts their future together and after a heated debate, Janelle leaves without a word taking his heart with her.
When she calls him out of the blue, he rushes to meet her. But will she accept him with his past? Or will they both have to sacrifice a loveless future?
2. Partners in Peril… The 9th book in the Saddle Creek series is coming out in the fall. The working title is Partners in Peril.
I love writing in this series which is centered around Rosie’s Diner in the middle of Saddle Creek, a small town, in the shadows of the Grand Teton mountains. I’ve also written three Christmas books in this series. 3. Protecting Sara, a romantic suspense in Susan Stoker’s Special Forces series will be released in May some time. I’ll keep you posted but here’s a little something to whet your appetite.
Navy SEAL, Jake Emerson, excels as a sniper until a bullet destroys his career. Left with a bionic shoulder and no clear future, he spends his days alone. But he’s forced back into action when the apartment building next to his explodes and he witnesses a female fleeing the scene.
Sara Nelson lives under an alias, in constant fear from threats to her life. But three years of frequent moves have her longing for a forever home, so she settles in North Carolina. After a year of normality, an unexpected threat forces her to trust a handsome stranger.
Jake’s attraction to Sara is immediate, but the sole thing on her mind is staying alive. He wants to protect her but can’t do it alone. Jake calls on his SEAL brothers to help him. But when their circle is penetrated, all hell breaks loose, and Jake must choose her life over his and the lives of his Team.
4. Protecting Skye… Also, I’m working on Protecting Skye, a romantic suspense in Desiree Holt’s Phoenix Agency series. It will be released this year in August. More later.
5. Lorelei’s Romantic Suspense Book Club… I always wanted to belong to a book club but never took the time with work and everything else. Since so many of us are home now, our only connections to the outside world are via our electronics. Last May I founded Lorelei’s Romantic Suspense Book Club, and we meet every Wednesday via zoom, from 7-8:30 PM, eastern. I have a guest each week, many are authors but every now and then I have a surprise visitor such as on March 24th. Kayelle Allen is my guest and I’ve invited Zachary Johnson to attend. He’ll audition as a narrator for audible books.
You can check out the guest list and other pertinent information: https://www.facebook.com/groups/293120771696171
The calendar is full until late September and spotty throughout the rest of the year. You can contact me at: loreleiconfer@gmail.com with any questions or more information.

Thank you for having me, Maddy! It’s been a busy year so far and I think that’s a good thing. Spring has sprung in Florida and it’s so much easier to wake up to cool weather, blue skies and sunshine. It’s been great sitting outside and writing, too. I do love to hear from my readers, so please comment, ask questions, whatever. I’ll get back to you today.
Thanks to everyone for reading my books and especially to those who have written reviews. They are so important to an author.
Hope to see you or hear from you soon!
