His Midnight Sun
Crescent Creek Book 3
by Viviana MacKade
What are you working on next and when can we expect to see it?
Well, now, I just finished…. Okay. Okay, I like pressure. Not really, but’s a writer supposed to do but having new stories on her mind?
Here’s the deal.
Right about now and for the next few weeks I’m in the eye of Hurricane Release so all I can do is stress out, eat junk food (chewing a peanut-bar right now), write interviews (for which I sit for so long I get butt-cheeks numbness), and give myself fingers cramps because no matter what people might say, it is hard typing with your finger crossed–all of them.
But at some point, all this craziness will stop, or slow down enough for me to take a morning off and hit the pool.
And with that out of the way, it’ll be New Story time.
And boy, ain’t it gonna be new.
I’ll try my hand at Fantasy.
Yep.
Mixing it up with history and old civilizations’ myths. Also, it’ll probably be a trilogy, one of those stories where there’s a big mess that will take three books to fix while each couple gets together. Confusing? Yeah, it is. I’m a confused myself because up to now I only know a few little details. Foggy at best.
I want it modern, and epic, and fun. God, I think the world needs more fun right now, I’ll see if I can give some.
I have to study, hard, then put to work my brand-new plotting manual, see if it works. I can’t get away with my usual pencil-and-paper plot this time. I have to up my game big time.
As for when is to be expected, I’d say between 6 and eight months. Which is a long time, but if you consider elephants girls are pregnant for almost two years, an 8-month wait is not that bad (I won’t touch the opossums’ 12 days of pregnancy because it depresses me on too many levels).
So, to sum up: in 6 to 8 months I’ll have a new fantasy ready.
There.
I answered the question.
About His Midnight Sun:
Tormented, fierce, and broken, sculptor Aidan Murphy has judged himself guilty. He yearns for love but pushes everyone away. He longs for acceptance but has lost the key to open his heart. Until he meets Summer Williams. Beautiful and smart, Dr. Williams promises haven for a man who believes he deserves none. All he has to do is let her in and risk his heart and soul.
Summer’s managed to keep her inner light alive, even through tragedy. She’s created a new life for herself and her daughter in Crescent Creek with loving, caring and fun friends–well, except brooding, breathtaking Aidan. She’s used to keeping away from his type, though. All she has to do is ignore the pull of a man who’s turning up to be much more than snarls and storms. Will her compassion and medical instincts let her?
Love can heal a broken soul and shake up a timid heart. Or it can unleash devastation and a thirst for revenge.
Will Aidan and Summer survive the hurricane?
