Devil’s, Angels and Something in Between

Devil’s, Angels and Something in Between

What to Read Next: The Devil’s Playground Duet by Ashley Jade

The Devil and The Devil’s Advocate are incredibly graphic, scorchingly hot novels about two men who both love and hate each other and the women who get caught between them.  Ms. Jade is a terrific writer, helping you visualize everything from an elegant party to a fish baiting (read the books, you’ll understand) to some blistering hot sex. Nap before you read it, because you’ll be up all night, turning pages, anxious to learn how it ends. Also, the first book will leave you hanging, so be prepared to read both.

If you are easily offended or scandalized, these books may be too hot for you to handle.

“They’ll tell you I seduced them. Used my looks and body to lure them into my playground.
They’ll tell you I’m a sinner. A demon who held them captive with temptation and lust.
They’ll tell you I’m evil. A monster obsessed with the both of them.
They’ll tell you they made a deal with the devil.
What they won’t tell you…is how much they liked it.”

Gem of the Week: Be an Angel with Good Cause Greetings

Here’s a chance to celebrate the holidays, reach out to friends, colleagues and fans and give back to the cause of your choice. It’s not too late to order your holiday cards from Good Cause Greetings. Good Cause Greetings supports a continually expanding number of non-profits and charities doing good throughout the world. The range of causes these organizations serve is broad including health, children, education, environment, human rights, hunger, and homelessness. All of their charities, whether providing humanitarian aid or environmental preservation are carefully vetted for efficiency, effectiveness, and respect in their fields.

By sending a Good Cause Greeting Card you draw attention to the charity of your choice and its purpose. The logo and mission statement of the supported nonprofit is displayed prominently on the back of every card. And there are cards to please you whether you want a fun card, a whimsical card or a religious card. Oh, the price is right too, competitive with most boxed cards you can buy. And they’re delivered to your door. You can even customize them – but do it soon. The holidays will be here before you know it.

Not Just for Authors: Advice for Bloggers that Works Whatever You Sell

I am a big fan of Ana of The She Approach. She wrote an email this week about what she learned when she recently attended the Blogosphere Festival in London.

Ana attended numerous panels and talks about blogging, the future of influencer marketing and social media, then she wrote an email to her followers (like me!) and shared what she learned.

She was speaking to bloggers, but I found it great advice as an author, which led me to realize, this is great advice no matter what your business. So I thought I would share the highlights with you.

1/ PICK A NICHE BASED ON YOUR PASSION

  • Pick a topic for which you have a genuine passion and curiosity and stick with it.
  • To build credibility and a following, you must develop some degree of expertise.
  • You can start small if you are consistent.
  • Brands love to work with experts, and audiences find you faster if they can immediately tell what you’re all about.

2/ DON’T SELL – SHARE

  • Choose what you promote carefully. Look for long-term deals.
  • Delivery matters. Talk about products naturally, in your own style.
  • Be passionate without being pushy. Share your opinion and experience honestly.

3/ ENGAGE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE

  • Give back to your audience.
  • Listen to what they want and deliver quickly. Read their comments and take them into consideration. Be there to serve your followers.
  • Allow people a chance to reach out to you. Answer every DM, comment or email you get.
  • Engage with your audience offline. Don’t be afraid to take things into the real world.

4/ MORE TIPS FOR INFLUENCERS AND CREATORS

  • If you’re unique, you’re worth more. ]Niche down and stand out.
  • Create every day, even if you don’t post it.
  • Brands pay for your creative vision, not just for your numbers.
  • Take risks.
  • Selling will be uncomfortable at first. Get over it.
