Please help me welcome Dylann Crush this week. Dylann is here to share her upcoming release, Cowboy Christmas Jubilee. Cowboy Christmas Jubilee is the second book in her Holiday, Texas contemporary romance series with a fun Holiday theme. Welcome Dylann! I am excited to hear more about Cowboy Christmas Jubilee.
Short Q&A with Dylann Crush:
Where is your favorite place to write?
My favorite place to write is in one of those over-the-water bungalows in Fiji where I can dangle my toes in the ocean and sip on an ice-old swirl margarita while the words effortlessly fill the page. At least, I assume that would be my favorite place to write if I ever had the chance to try it out. Until then I’ll pound away at the laptop on my desk, surrounded by piles of papers, books on writing craft, tons of sticky notes and a pup keeping my feet warm.
What inspires you as an author?
I get most of my inspiration from things that happen in everyday life—an article I read in the local paper, a comment a friend makes about something going on in her life—anything and everything can lead to some sort of story idea. Warning: I’ve been known to eavesdrop on conversations in public places. Some of the best ideas come from strangers. 😉
Why do you write romance and why your genre of romance?
Because life can suck sometimes and there are no guarantees. But with a romance you’re always going to get a happy ending. I love writing contemporary because I can draw on my own experiences and not get lost down the rabbit hole of research like I would if I planned to write a historical or something non-fiction.
What are you working on next and when can we expect to see it?
I’ve got a few projects in the works. Book #2 in the Holiday, Texas series releases next week on October 30th. Then the 3rd book will be out next summer. I’ve got a steamy contemporary romance serial up on the Radish reading app right now. New episodes release every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And I’m working on a small-town, sexy contemporary series that will be out after the first of the year. I’m super excited about the first book in that series since it was inspired by spending summers at my grandparents’ farmhouse in rural Missouri.
I love hearing from readers and fellow romance lovers. They can find me co-hosting Q&A with their favorite romance authors at Romance Happy Hour (www.romancehappyhour.com) on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
About Cowboy Christmas Jubilee:
Merry Christmas from your new friends in Holiday, Texas: The most celebratory town in the South!
When Jinx Jacobs’s motorcycle breaks down outside Holiday, Texas, the last thing she wants is to get stuck in the cheery little town, especially during the holidays. The whole place has gone Christmas crazy, but all she has to do is stay out from under the mistletoe—and do her best to keep that unnervingly attractive cop off her back.
Single dad and sheriff’s deputy Cash Walker doesn’t have time for romance, and yet something about the tempting loner twists his stomach up tighter than a tangle of tinsel. He may have finally found the missing piece in his life…but with Jinx so determined to avoid putting down roots, convincing her to stay may just take a Christmas miracle.

Excerpt from Cowboy Christmas Jubilee:
Jinx stared at the ceiling for hours. When Cash returned just after six, she pretended to already be asleep. He must have left his bedroom door cracked. Probably wanted to make sure she didn’t steal anything. Even so, his steady breathing soothed her numb nerves. Listening to him breathe in and out, a reminder she was in his house, on his couch, at his mercy, gave her a sense of security but also set her on the edge of a panic attack. She vacillated until the sun began to spread a pinkish, reddish glow through the early morning sky, and she finally closed her eyes.
Clanging pots and the smell of fresh- brewed coffee woke her. Paradise. Wade hated the smell of coffee, so it had been months since she’d treated herself to a hot cup of homemade brew. She cracked an eyelid to find herself nose to nose with Kenzie’s freckled face.
“She’s awake, Daddy!”
“Kenzie, I told you to let Jinx sleep. She was up late last night.” Cash’s bare feet slapped the floor as he crept close to Kenzie, slung an arm around her waist, and pulled her away from the couch.
“But her eyes are open, see?” Kenzie twisted in his arms, pointing a finger her direction.
“So they are.” The two of them towered over her. The smell of bodywash drifted off Cash. That and the damp hair meant he’d probably just showered. That would be a luxury. Maybe she could beg a quick shower before she hoofed it into town to see if Dixie’s offer was still good.
“Morning.” She squinted up at them. Father and daughter. Fragments of the night before flitted through her head. She’d almost done a dad. And a freaking cop at that. So much for making better choices.
“It’s not morning anymore.” Kenzie beamed. “Daddy said you slept like you were dead.”
“What time is it?”
Cash glanced to the clock. “Almost one.”
“Oh my gosh.” She threw the blanket aside. The cooler air hit her bare legs. No pants. That’s right. Her leggings and her panties were still draped over one of his kitchen chairs. Kenzie had turned toward the kitchen. At least she hadn’t just flashed Cash’s daughter from the waist down. The look on Cash’s face showed he’d caught a glimpse though. Otherwise, why had the smile morphed into the same kind of dark intensity she’d seen last night?
About Dylann Crush:
Dylann Crush writes contemporary romance with sizzle and sass. A romantic at heart, she loves her heroines spunky and her heroes super sexy. When she’s not dreaming up steamy storylines, she can be found sipping a margarita and searching for the best Tex-Mex food in the Upper Midwest. Although she grew up in Texas, she currently lives in a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul with her unflappable husband, three energetic kids, a clumsy Great Dane, a lovable rescue mutt, and a very chill cat. She loves to connect with readers, other authors and fans of tequila. You can find her at www.dylanncrush.com.
