Oops, four books, but one is fiction. In celebration of the relaunch of my novel Bedazzled, please welcome guest blogger Laura Anderson.
Today’s World is of styling, designing and fashion. Fashion incorporates a sense of completeness among us. It is not only a tradition and style to wear ornaments, but it is deeply connected with the roots of the civilizations. It somehow expresses our beliefs, feelings and desires, and most importantly, it conveys love, affection and nobility. Jewelery is the beautiful creation of art pieces that can be gifted to someone as a gesture of love and can also be used for one’s embellishment. The jewelry includes gold, silver and diamond, and we can get it in the form of bangles, earrings, necklaces, anklets, headbands, crowns and much more. Wait a minute! Who is fond of diamond jewelry? At least I am a big fan of it. Especially the diamond necklace from JavaJewellers is to die for. Such an exquisite and remarkable work of designs and delicacy. When purchasing a product, one must look forward to its uniqueness and originality, and it can only happen when one better understands a product. If we want to buy unique models, styles and original delicate jewelry pieces, we must know the background and information. Books are the ultimate and rich source of gaining knowledge. Let us look at some of the books to develop a sense of jewelry.
Making Wow Jewelry:
Written by Gay Isber, the book glorifies the importance of techniques and the making of statement jewelry. Isber has demonstrated around 25 sensational adornments ideas that offer eye-catching expressions. These intense and profoundly imaginative pieces range from rings, hoops, neckbands, and wristbands to crowns and tufts; notwithstanding the standard globules and gems, the designs are made from remarkable materials, like precious stones, feathers and thermoplastic sheets. Isber talks about using variety, working with wire, tweaking sleeve armbands, utilizing epoxy dirt, making moulds, and how to make your plans. Such a fantastic book and is the best to go for reading material.
Unearthed
Dr Jeffery E. Post’s book Unearthed Surprising stories behind the jewels is a masterpiece that provides information regarding the World’s unique and famous gemstones. He regarded the information related to the unique Smithsonian gems: diamond, sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald. The Rapaport Magazine has beautifully pictured the explanations of romance, power, war or wealth. Post picks the Logan sapphire, the Napoleon jewel accessory, and the precious Portuguese stone. He says, “They are dynamite gems, and they are associated with altogether different yet similarly entrancing individuals.” The book presents the stories of the people who once owned or were associated with these jewels and gems, from ordinary people to kings, emperors and celebrities.
The Soul Of Jewelry
The book comprising more than four to five contributors to this magnificent piece holds a vast range of information and techniques for the jewelry pieces. It portrays its subject as an object of change, social intervention, and force that talks about enticement and enhancement, among numerous different things. The botanical part is addressed in the various normal subjects that have been included in jeweled manifestations through the ages. The magnificence of the plant world, its grandeur and superb structures support the innovative, creative mind and have motivated endless works of art. The book also states that the jewelry is designed to dazzle when worn and enhance the intrinsic beauty that makes a piece of art more lovable and justified.
The book also states that the most distinguishing feature of jewelry is that it intrudes people to buy it. Most importantly, it is a source of expressions embellished with our desires, feelings and temptations—the more vintage the jewelry, the more the desire to buy it. It shows and contemplates wealth and power. The book further illustrates the jewelry as a sign of royalty, like gemstones worn by the royal people. The jewelry also specifies the art of fashion sense—a great book to develop the ideas of jewelry.
Why Am I Writing about Jewelry?
Right now my novel, Bedazzled, is on sale. This first book in the Beguiling Bachelor series is all about a young woman trying to launch her own jewelry design business. I was inspired by a friend launching her jewelry business while I was writing the book.
Barb gave me great advice about jewelry design, the Chicago market and frankly, how to inject some humor into my first work of fiction. She also allowed me to try on some of her most beautiful – and expensive – pieces.
I was helping her set up her bookkeeping at the time, spending a lot of wonderful hours with her as we found our way through a less than ideal software system. I met many of her wonderful clients, all of whom were her friends.
Barb had an assistant at the time, Molly, who was from Lake Forest, IL. It was the perfect setting to nurture four privileged billionaires-to-be as they grew to manhood. The first novel, Bedazzled, introduces us to all four of these sun-kissed men, and several of the women who would play pivotal roles in their lives. Molly was key in helping me create my men, Barb was crucial in the creation of my heroines.
The jewelry business was a total success, no surprise, and I went on to finish the Beguiling Bachelor series and publish it. This year I revisited the series with the help of an outstanding editor, and I am thrilled to be releasing the series in its revised form.
I hope you will take advantage of the reduced pricing to buy Bedazzled, and the entire series. If you want to know more about jewelry, check out the three books Laura has recommended as well.
